Value that Scales.

Polar handles checkout; the sidecar enforces plan gates. Basic keeps one mailbox and skips Insight AI; Insight tiers add multi-inbox support and monthly attachment-read caps you can forecast.

FAQ

Questions we love to answer

If something below does not cover your situation, email us—we would rather over-communicate than leave you guessing.

How do trials and checkout work?

Install the desktop (Tauri + sidecar) or mobile build, complete provider sign-in, and the app tracks a 7-day trial when Polar is configured. Checkout and the customer portal are served by Polar; the sidecar stores subscription IDs and applies plan gates for AI reads and inbox limits.

Do you support teams with procurement or pilots?

Email hello@blindbox.email for volume questions, accessibility reviews, and deployment planning. The codebase is open for inspection; commercial packaging is still evolving, so concrete requirements beat slide decks.

What is the difference between Basic and Insight?

Basic includes the accessibility-first mail client, Blind Sight, calendar import (when configured), and one connected mailbox—without Insight AI attachment reads. Insight adds multi-inbox support, attachment downloads, and AI summaries/transcripts with a 1,500 read/month cap; Insight Plus raises the cap to 7,500 reads.

Can I connect more than Gmail?

Yes. Gmail uses OAuth; Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud, Proton Bridge, and custom hosts use IMAP/SMTP in the sidecar. Calendar import depends on enabling Google, Microsoft Graph, or Apple CalDAV per the setup docs.

Why can I only add one inbox on Basic?

The product gates “Add another inbox” to Insight and Insight Plus so multi-mailbox workflows bundle with those tiers. On Basic you can still switch accounts by removing one mailbox and adding another.

Does BlindBox replace my mail or calendar host?

No. BlindBox is a client. It reads and sends mail through your providers and writes calendar events to the Google, Microsoft, or Apple calendars you authorize.

Where are official setup guides?

The repository ships CALENDAR_INTEGRATION_SETUP.md, GMAIL_OUTLOOK_APPLEMAIL_SETUP.md, POLAR.md, and the root README architecture section for sidecar ports, OAuth callbacks, and billing env vars.
